    Back when I lived in the country, everyone in the area had a dog. There wasn’t much traffic on the road and there was a lot of space between the houses, with plenty of wild area for roaming. That’s why you could expect to see friends’ and neighbors’ dogs while you were out. When I started driving, I remember seeing my dog about a mile away from our house. I knew she’d had a good time exploring and getting into trouble, but she looked tired, so I gave her a ride home.
